The First International Conference on Screening for Lung Cancer was held in Weill Medical College of Cornell University from October 01, 1999 to October 03, 1999. Participation and support from all attendants made it an outstanding success. Everyone worked hard at the workshops and in the development of the summary statement. Overall, participants felt that much was accomplished, although much more work was ahead.
